A wonderful Victorian solid silver collar and locket. The collar measures 17 inches in length (excluding fastener) and 1.1cm wide. It is decorated with’bobbles’ and discs with stars, all present. The collar can be worn on its own or with the locket which measures approx 5.5cm long (including bale) and 3.2cm wide. The locket is decorated with a Star design, scalloped and patterned edges and the reverse is etched beautifully with a chased pattern and Morning Glory flowers. The back is marked with a full Birmingham hallmark for 1884 and maker A&L, Adie & Lovekin of Frederick Street, Birmingham, England. The inserts are present to add a picture of your choice. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring. The hinge is good and it shuts securely. This is a wonderful original Victorian collar and locket.
