Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It features a very ornate hand-engraved ivy leaf pattern on the front. In Victorian symbolism, ivy represented a strong bond between 2 people, whether they were married partners or best friends. Inside , it contains a photograph in the right hand side, behind it’s original frame. In the left, behind the original glass and frame is a braided piece of hair. Of course, you could remove these. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 5.3cm high and 4.2cm wide. Weighs 30.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Has a couple of small dinks, one on the front which is hidden by the engraving and another on the back. The hinge and closure work well and it snaps shut nicely. Overall, it just has the usual light wear and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
