Here I have a fantastic antique solid silver and niello enamel brooch, in the form of a lizard. He’s exceptional quality – really beautifully modelled and he feels gorgeously smooth and tactile! The Niello detail runs down his back, over his head and for his eyes. He fastens on the back with a c-clasp and steel pin. Unmarked but tests as silver. Measures 5.2cm across at the widest point. It weighs 26.1 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have a fantastic vintage solid silver brooch, in the form of a lizard. He fastens with a rollover clasp on the back and is signed “Pineda’s Taxco TP-17 Mexico 970″. It was made by Maria Pineda, a talented silversmith who worked for. Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda, and later Margot de Taxco. Measures 8.2cm across at the widest point. It weighs 11.2 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. He’s lost a toe from a back foot, but otherwise he’s in very good order with just the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have an incredible Victorian solid silver brooch, in the shape of a lizard. His body is set with seed pearls and there’s a tiny ruby for each of his eyes. He’s beautifully made – if you look closely you can see his little forked tongue! It fastens with a c-clasp and is unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 4.7cm x 2.0cm. It weighs 11.2 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have a beautiful Victorian solid silver brooch, in the shape of a lizard. His body is set with white paste closed-back stones. He’s beautifully made – if you look closely the sides of his body and legs have been give a rough lizaardy texture and he even has little pastes set in his eyes. One of his little feet form a loop to hold the end of a safety chain, though you could probably put a bale ring through there too if you want to wear him as a pendant. It fastens with a c-clasp and is unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 4.5cm x 2.4cm. It weighs 13.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing stones – most have dulled/yellowed with age but he still has a decent sparkle. Overall, he just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item.
