Absolutely stunning Victorian locket and book chain. The locket is superbly engraved and embossed. Fine detail and craftsmanship. Both locket and chain are solid silver. The chain is marked’Sterling’ on the clasp. Visually spectacular and beautiful to wear. The size of the locket not including the bale is circa 4.4cm x 3.4cm. The length of the chain including clasp is circa 44.5cm The combined weight of locket and chain is circa 54g Both locket and chain are in good antique condition. STUNNING ANTIQUE SILVER ALBERTINA. Stunning antique solid silver albertina watch chain. Lovely & very ornate example of a Victorian albertina. Often referred to as’sunday best watch chains’ this type of chain first appeared in the 1890′s & where worn mostly by ladies as an alternative to a guard chain to wear a fob watch. This example is in beautiful condition, with 5 graduated chains joined to a beautifully engraved central panel leading to side section hung with an ornate silver tassel. The engraving on the central panel is very fine & crisp also with engraving to the edge. One ball on the tassel may be a replacement as is slightly larger than the rest. No markings that I can find so has been acid tested for silver. Could be worn as a bracelet or added too to wear as necklace. Or just to have as an excellent example. Here I have an antique solid silver Victorian locket pendant. It features a lovely ornate hand-engraved floral design on a raised central panel, with tiers of wirework and chased linear designs below and beaded detailing around the edge. I nside, there’s room for 2 pictures – it still contains the original little frame to hold the photo in place in one side; the other side contains a past owner’s picture… There’s no frame on this side but if you cut the pic to the right size, it will stay put perfectly. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top or the beading around the edge) measures 3.7cm high and 3.0cm wide. It weighs 11.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely. There are a few minor dinks here and there but they’re mostly to the back, and a few of the beads around the edge are slightly dinked. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have a Victorian solid silver torque bangle. The terminals feature acorn shapes, with lovely applied wirework detailing running down the arms. It’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. All items are sent UNBOXED. Measures 23cm (9) around the inside from end to end, and 5.7cm across the inside, however it is quite springy so should fit most wrists. Weighs 17.7 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. There’s one small dink to the underside of one of the acorns and the solder holding this acorn has come undone so it wobbles about a little; though it looks securely held on still, it’d be an easy job for a jeweller to re-solder. Overall, the bangle just has the usual light surface marks which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
