Fine Antique Victorian Solid Silver & Gold Gilded – Scottish Agate Scarf Brooch. PLEASE VIEW ALL 12 PHOTOS I HAVE PROVIDED. A fine late Victorian period Scottish agate scarf brooch. This is a very rare piece of jewellery which is superb quality. Not hallmarked but has been tested as 925 solid silver. The brooch is made of solid silver with stunning gold gilding. The gold gilding is in great condition with no wear or fading. Has beautiful fine engraved floral detail. The centre is set with a large round cut citrine glass stone which measures – 1.8 cm wide. Around the central stone are two pieces of Scottish blood stone & two pieces of Scottish agate. In-between the agate stones are four round cut pieces of carnelion stone. All the stones are in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. Has a scarf clip fitting on the back of the brooch which is in good working condition. Measures – 3.9 cm wide x 3.9 cm height x 2 cm deep —– Weighs – 14.5 grams. Beautiful Victorian Solid Silver & Scottish Agate Specimen Brooch, 1880s. Here is a really lovely victorian solid silver & scottish agate specimen brooch. The brooch measures two inches in diameter and is all set in victorian solid silver, not marked but tested & guarranteed. The brooch is a fabulous scottish specimen brooch and is roundel in style inset with all different kinds of scottish agate, pebble, granite etc in sections, flat cut with there lovely colours & natural markings, bandings with some unusual agates i have not seen before or the markings. Nicely this brooch has a silver rusched edge and silver engraved centre and on the back its backed & has its pin & Cclasp working well. This brooch dates to the victorian period around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height of popularity and some fabulous pieces were made & yet again i have never seen one exactly the same as this one before, so a interesting example and as with age it may have the odd minute nibble, which you would expect with age & wear, but nothing that i can see or detracts, & the back does have some bits out of it, but just mentioned for total accuracy, but certainly nothing that detracts, see pics. This really is a lovely victorian brooch in good origional complete condition and such a lovely rare collectable example of these.. Please note the marks on the agates are natural. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history. The brooch measures nearly two & a quarter inches in diameter and is all set in victorian solid silver, not marked but tested & guarranteed. The brooch is a fabulous scottish specimen brooch and in a rusched roundel type style with a unusual entwined cut to the agates inset with all different kinds of scottish agate, pebble, granite etc in sections, flat cut with there lovely colours & natural markings, bandings with some unusual agates i have not seen before or the markings. Nicely this brooch has a silver engraved centre and on the back its solid silver backed & it will need its pin & Cclasp replacing to wear it again as a brooch as it has a bail & looks to have been worn as a pendant. This brooch dates to the victorian period around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height of popularity and some fabulous pieces were made & yet again i have never seen one exactly the same as this one before, so a interesting example and as with age it does have minute nibbles & a couple of cracked lines, which you would expect with age & wear, but nothing that i can see that detracts, but just mentioned for total accuracy, see pics. The brooch measures two inches by just over two & a half inches & is all set in solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch is absolutely fabulous & i have never seen a example like this before with a rusched setting with quality shell like engraved claws & inset is a fabulous piece of polished cabouchon scottish agate or aberdeen granite with the most beautiful pink colour & natural markings. On the back is a pin & Cclasp working well & dates to around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height. This really is such a beautiful quality victorian agate brooch in very good origional complete condition that truly is a beautiful example of this work. Here I have a fine Victorian Scottish Agate and Citrine bracelet. It features 4 carved agate panels, with engraved solid silver caps, interspaced with bezel-set natural deep yellow Citrine gemstones. It fastens with a hook clasp and has a working padlock to hold that clasp shut. The padlock has a glazed hairwork panel on one side, and a bloodstone on the other. A past owner has also added a safety chain. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 6.75 inches long and 15mm wide across the front. The padlock is 3.3cm by 1.9cm. It weighs 26.3 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No cracks or damage. A reinforcing strip of silver has been added to the back of one of the panels at some point but there are no other signs of repair. Just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Fab Victorian Scottish Solid Silver & Gemstone Luckenbooth Brooch, Vic Kitemark. Here is a really fabulous victorian scottish solid silver & gemstone luckenbooth brooch. The brooch is large & measures one & a quarter inches by two inches in and is all set in solid silver although not marked, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch totally epitomises victorian scottish jewellery when it was at its height, with a luckenbooth style beautiful workmanship with lovely quality engravings with a shield shape with the crown on top and all inset with coloured gemstones which could be faux, but they look stunning to the crown & through the centre & border, all collet set & cabouchon with the central stone which nicely articulates. This brooch does have one tiny gemstone missing in the edge of the crown, which could be easily replaced, but its not clearly obvious as this brooch has so much going on. On the back it has a pin & Cclasp working well, and nicely has the victorian kite mark and dates to the victorian period around the 1880s. However a lovely victorian luckenbooth scottish brooch and a quality example that really is in very good condition as stated & a collectable example of these.
