Here I have an antique Victorian solid silver book chain / collar. It features buckle shaped links, with a silver bead in the centre and the connecting links are hand engraved with a flower. The back is unengraved so it can be worn either way round depending on how flamboyant you fancy being! It fastens with a bolt ring clasp. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid high-grade silver. I have many wonderful Victorian period lockets in my shop which would look fabulous with this book chain! The chain measures 17.75 inches long including the clasp. The chain is 12mm wide across the front. It weighs 18.0 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. One of the small silver beads is missing from one of the buckle shaped links (illustrated with a pink arrow in the last photo). Overall it just the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect in an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
