Stunning Edwardian Solid Silver & Rare Rock Crystal Articulated Drop Necklace. Here is the most stunning rare edwardian solid silver & rock crystal articulated drop necklace. The necklace measures approx sixteen inches all the way round & is all set in solid silver. The necklace has a silver chain which goes round to seven drops which nicely graduate in size, with the largest being over half inch in diameter & are all inset with what looks to be top quality paste from the era, but it looks to be rare rock crystal, either way its quite fabulous all faceted and securely claw set on their individual silver mounts and open backed to appreciate the quality with a lovely quality sparkle & catching lights. Each setting is connected by a long silver link, which slides through the back of the mount making them articulated and freely moveable of a quality piece. The necklace has a good quality bolt ring clasp and the necklace is clearly marked for sterling silver and also the early mark which says silver and this necklace dates to the victorian edwardian era and just has wear as you would associate with age but certainly nothing that detracts in any way from this piece. These necklaces are getting harder to find today & this necklace came with a similiar one at the time, but apart from that i have not seen a similiar for years. This really is the most beautiful antique necklace in very good origional complete condition, that looks absolutely stunning worn and a fine quality example of these, that is as wearable today as when it was fist made & very eyecatching.
