ANTIQUE LARGE SOLID SILVER AUSTRO HUNGARIAN GARNET TURQUOISE BROOCH. A stunning very large antique Victorian Austro Hungarian garnet and turquoise brooch. In very good antique condition, please see the pictures. It measures 2″ by 2″(5cm by 5cm). There is a wonderful large faceted central garnet surrounded by further garnets and natural turquoise. The brooch has a good secure pin, with a roll over clasp. I think the clasp is a replacement but the pin is original. The silver is not marked, as was common during the period, but has been tested. It features intricate wirework around the hit, which continues around the back of the brooch, and its set with Persian Turquoise gemstones. It appears to be Austro-Hungarian in origin? It fastens with a c-clasp and, as with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 6.4cm by 2.9cm. It weighs 4.6 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Fab Victorian Rare Austro Hungarian Solid Silver, Enamel & Seed Pearl Bangle. Here is a really beautiful victorian rare austro hungarian solid silver, enamel & seed pearl bangle. The bangle measures two inches by two & a quarter inches with a depth of half an inch & is all made of solid silver. This bangle is really lovely all made of silver which is then black enamelled with the top having a beautiful typical victorian silver engraving in lovely detail that is then highlighted & inset with real seed pearl which gives a overall lovely effect. The bangle nicely has a lovely engraved silver hinge & clasp working very well & it has a safety chain that is gold coloured. The bangle has a number & other mark & the clasp has the silver hallmark for austro hungarian & the bangle dates clearly to the victorian era & as with age there is a two seed pearls missing, which can be easily replaced if necessary & there is a chip out of the enamel by the clasp but this isnt obvious as its still got the black enamel underneath so certainly doesnt detract but just mentioned for total accuracy, see pics. However this really is a lovely antique bangle in good origional complete condition as stated & a lovely rare example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history.
