Here I have an antique solid silver Victorian locket pendant. It features a lovely ornate hand-engraved floral design on a raised central panel, with tiers of wirework and chased linear designs below and beaded detailing around the edge. I nside, there’s room for 2 pictures – it still contains the original little frame to hold the photo in place in one side; the other side contains a past owner’s picture… There’s no frame on this side but if you cut the pic to the right size, it will stay put perfectly. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top or the beading around the edge) measures 3.7cm high and 3.0cm wide. It weighs 11.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely. There are a few minor dinks here and there but they’re mostly to the back, and a few of the beads around the edge are slightly dinked. International buyers PLEASE READ. It features a beautiful fern leaves design on one side, and on the other there are dog roses and scrolled foliate decoration around an empty cartouche for the engraving of initials. These double sided lockets were known as day and night lockets as you could turn it around when you changed your clothes for dinner in the evening. It has a large bale at the top, and i nside, it contains the original little frames to hold the photos in place. As with many antique pieces, it unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.7cm high and 3.0cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 5.1cm. It weighs 11.6 grams. Here I have an antique double sided solid silver locket pendant. It features a beautiful aesthetic period design of a heron with a garden bird flying overhead, and if you look closely there’s a little butterfly in the reeds to the side. On the other side is a lovely spray of flowers (forget-me-nots I think) amongst swirled decoration, with a laurel wreath design around the edge. These double sided lockets were known as day and night lockets as you could turn it around when you changed your clothes for dinner in the evening. It has a large bale at the top, and i nside, it contains the original little frames to hold the photos in place and a past owners photos of a mother and small children. As with many antique pieces, it unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.5cm high and 3.6cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 6.1cm. It weighs 31.7 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Hinge and closure work perfectly. Superb little Georgian solid silver keepsake locket pendant with gilt interior, the exterior would have originally been gold plated but this has worn away over the passage of time leaving a slight gold hue, the locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1831 and bears the makers mark of renowned silversmith Joseph Willmore, in good condition for age with one minor ding to front, no damage or repairs, slight play to hinge but works fine, beautiful design on front and rear, locket measures 35mm including suspension ring x 24mm wide, weighs 8.3 grams. Here I have an antique solid silver shield shaped locket pendant. It features an engraved horses head with branches to the sides on the front and ivy leaves to the back. This reversible style was known as a day & night locket as you could swap the sides over when it came to changing in to your evening-wear. The horse side is quite lightly engraved, which made it extremely tricky to capture in the photos! The detail is finer in real life, than I could capture in the pics. There are no innards to this locket, but if you could the pics to the right size, they should stay put. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.0cm high and 2.2cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 3.7cm. It weighs 6.8 grams. Condition: Good uncleaned antique condition. Some minor dinks and pressure marks front and back, commensurate with its age. Snaps shut nicely and stays closed as it should. Here I have a stunning antique solid silver locket pendant. It features duck egg blue guilloche enamel, with handpainted pink roses and a gold dot in the centre. Inside, there’s space for 2 photos and the original removable silver frames and little plastic covers are all present. It’s hallmarked as silver on the ring holding the bale and it hangs on an unusual greek key linked 16 silver chain with hook and eye fastening. The chain is hallmarked as 800 grade silver on a ring by the clasp. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 2.5cm wide and 0.5cm deep. With the ring at the top, it’s total length is 3.1cm. With the chain, it weighs 8.3 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No enamel chips or cracks, just a few minute surface scratches which are only visible under very close inspection. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. Overall, it just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
