Lovely Victorian Solid Silver & Scottish Agate Gem Brooch, 1880. Here is a large victorian scottish solid silver agate & gemstone brooch. The brooch measures one & threequarter inches in diameter and is all made of solid silver & unusually is clearly marked for sterling silver. This brooch is circular with rusched edges and then beautifully engraved in solid silver with nice detail. Inlaid into this six panels of flat cut real scottish agate of bloodstone, carnelian and others. In a typical perced raised centre is a fabulous scottish cairngorm stone, which is around threequarters of an inch in diameter, faceted and claw set and a lovely warm colour. On the back is a pin and rolling CClasp working well with the Cclasp being replaced at some time as it would not have been a rolling one origionally and it dates to the victorian era & with age it has nibbles as you would expect & the stone is slightly off centre, but certainly nothing that detracts, see pics. This really is a lovely antique brooch in condition as stated and a lovely example of these. Lovely Victorian Scottish Solid Silver & Malachite Brooch, 1880s. Here is a lovely victorian scottish solid silver & malachite brooch. The brooch measures nearly two inches in diameterand is all set in solid silver, although not marked tested & guarranteed victorian silver. The brooch has a lovely rusched oval roundel style & a lovely design star central design with early engravings and all inset with flat cut polished real malachite, with its lovely green colour & natural markings. The brooch has a Cclasp but is missing its pin, which can be easily replaced and dates to around the 1880s, when scottish jewellery was at its height and this is a lovely example, but as with age & wear it does have some nibbles & cracks to the agate, see pics. This really is a lovely victorian brooch in very good origional complete condition as stated and such a nice example of these. Lovely Georgian Solid Silver & Black Dot Diamond Paste Brooch. Here is a fabulous rare georgian solid silver & black dot diamond paste brooch. The brooch measures half an inch by nearly one & a quarter inches and is all set in solid silver, although not marked tested & guarranteed solid silver. This brooch is so lovely set in a beautiful solid thick silver mount and then pave set are fabulous black dot paste stones to look like diamonds, but as with this quality paste they really dazzle, as the quality and they are faceted & pave set. On the back is a pin and Cclasp working well and this brooch is totally origional to the georgian period and as such has some wear and what looks to be a glue mark on one, but certainly nothing that detracts, see pics. This really is a lovely georgian brooch in very good origional complete condition that looks so lovely worn and such a quality early example of these that are getting harder to find now.
