CASE: This fantastic original solid sterling silver double hinged watch case is in excellent condition for the age of this watch. The case sides have a smooth finish and the case back has no inscriptions. The case is fully hall marked for English Sterling 925 Silver and dates to 1914 (Birmingham Assay mark). It is stamped with the makers name of A. D (Aaron Luftkin Dennison) who were official case makers to ROLEX at this time. The case measures 4.7cms (47mm) in diameter excluding the crown. The bezel and case back are both hinged and work well. The case shows only normal wear scratches to the case back and maybe one or two tiny pin head dings. The solid silver dustcover is in good condition showing light scratching in places. DIAL: Wow this is one stunning white dial. It is in sensational ORIGINAL condition and looks beautiful. It is unsigned It has a lovely gloss finish and I can see NO hairlines or damage apart from a few tiny spots under magnification. The black painted ORIGINAL Roman numerals are fantastic and have a lovely finish, as does the black painted outer minute track. The hands are superb and are blued steel. They are in excellent condition. The dial also has a sub second dial which is in excellent condition. The crystal is a brand new plexi and as such is in minty condition! MOVEMENT: This stunning watch is fitted with its entirely original FULLY SIGNED ROLEX Swiss made high quality 15 jewels powerhouse. This may be a CHRONOMETER grade as it is fitted with a MICROMETRIC regulator. It is a top quality movement and is very high grade. It is FULLY SIGNED’ROLEX’ on the top plate. This beautiful movement has been FULLY SERVICED It is running sweetly, and is keeping good time. It winds and sets beautifully. The crown looks to be original and is in very good condition. The SOLID SILVER chain ring is in good condition with no undue wear. THIS IS A TRULY RARE ROLEX TIMEPIECE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND IN GREAT CONDITION! There is NO exception.
