Here I have an antique solid silver Victorian locket pendant. It features a lovely ornate hand-engraved floral design on a raised central panel, with tiers of wirework and chased linear designs below and beaded detailing around the edge. I nside, there’s room for 2 pictures – it still contains the original little frame to hold the photo in place in one side; the other side contains a past owner’s picture… There’s no frame on this side but if you cut the pic to the right size, it will stay put perfectly. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top or the beading around the edge) measures 3.7cm high and 3.0cm wide. It weighs 11.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely. There are a few minor dinks here and there but they’re mostly to the back, and a few of the beads around the edge are slightly dinked. International buyers PLEASE READ. Fabulous Edwardian Rare Solid Silver Butterfly Wing Cameo Brooch. Here is a beautiful edwardian rare solid silver butterfly wing brooch. The brooch measures threequarters of an inch by nearly one & a quarter inches and is all set in solid silver. The brooch has a lovely early engraved rope style border and inset is a real butterfly wing which has lost some of its intense irredescent blue colour, so is brown in places, but this doesnt detract as it has the most fabulous sulphide cameo of a mythological lady in fabulous detail of a goddess & eagle in very good clear detail and then domed by glass. The butterfly wing is quite beautiful with its fabulous irredescent colours of blue and this kind of jewellery was very popular in the victorian- edwardian eras and you see some lovely ones & this is a rare cameo example & i have not seen one similiar of this subject before. This brooch has a pin & Cclasp working well & on the back it is marked for sterling silver, made in england, pt no-220213 and dates to around the edwardian era and just has wear as you would expect with age. This really is a lovely edwardian quality butterfly wing cameo brooch in good origional complete condition and a really lovely rare subject cameo example of these & certainly one for the serios collector. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history. Stunning Blue Silver Guilloche Enamel Mirrored Compact by Birmingham Silversmith Joseph Gloster. Hallmarked JG Ltd, Anchor, Lion Passant,’v’ date letter 1920 or 1945…. The’v’ being similar for either of these dates. In excellent condition, more than likely never used, no trace of face powder, net cover and powder puff unused. Fabulous guilloche enamel sun ray pattern with a very pretty patterned outer circle on the front. In super condition with minimal surface scratches, not immediately noticeable at all. There is no loss to any of the enamel whatsoever. With an equally pretty engine turned sun ray design on the reverse. There is a vacant circle cartouche at the centre which could be personalised with initials if desired. Medium size compact measuring 6.8 cm (2.75) diam. The mirror is in very good condition, there is a faint line running across the mirror but it is not a scratch or a crack. Closes and opens absolutely fine and no problem with the hinge. Has been kept safely & protected inside the black pouch in the photo’s. A lovely item from a bygone era and can be used today….. Elegant, chic and tactile and an absolutely gorgeous handbag accessory. Please take a look at my other items listed. All or most of my items listed are of an antique, vintage or collectable quality. You can see both the rims in either side of the picture locket sections. The collar is particularly detailed and represents the quality dating back to the 1880′s!
