A stunning vintage pre 1st world war Victorian to Art Nouveux & diamond paste Rococo style Lavalier necklace, I have never seen another in this fabulous condition, & such is the quality of the pastes that when first I held this in my hands I thought they were diamonds, there is a clear 800 silver stamp mark to back of pendant. An incredibly fine ornate central stylized floral pendant which measures 5.6mm (2.2″) by 2.5mm (1″) this is finished off. With a dangling pear shaped garnet or chicken blood faux ruby drop of fabulous colour. The incredibly fine 41cm (16) simple chain closes by way of a simple barrel clasp. Here I have an antique solid silver shield shaped locket pendant. It features an engraved horses head with branches to the sides on the front and ivy leaves to the back. This reversible style was known as a day & night locket as you could swap the sides over when it came to changing in to your evening-wear. The horse side is quite lightly engraved, which made it extremely tricky to capture in the photos! The detail is finer in real life, than I could capture in the pics. There are no innards to this locket, but if you could the pics to the right size, they should stay put. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.0cm high and 2.2cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 3.7cm. It weighs 6.8 grams. Condition: Good uncleaned antique condition. Some minor dinks and pressure marks front and back, commensurate with its age. Snaps shut nicely and stays closed as it should. Just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Antique VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Mourning LOCKET Brooch Prince of Wales Hair Curl. A visually stunning, rare, 19th century solid silver mourning locket brooch. The silver is unmarked as was often the case during the period; however it has been professionally jeweller tested. As a long time collector of period mourning jewellery, I had never seen a brooch like this before. It has been exquisitely made by a skilled Victorian silversmith, showing all the’pomp and circumstance’ of an important mourning piece. One is sufficiently impressed with the hugely elaborate front decor; it is then even more captivating to see the mourning locket back. Laid on a ribbed cream silk interior is a beautifully set Prince of Wales hair curl, complete with seed pearls and gold wiring. All immaculate with original glass. The silver tube hinge, pin and’c’ catch are all original and in good working order. Measurements: 1.9″ by 1.5″. In good antique condition; please see all photographs (which can be supersized). In excellent condition, a very rare suite of George Jensen jewellery dating from the early fifties. A bracelet, ring and clip on earrings in a flower design, set with a central coral. The warmth of the coral works very well with the silver and the set looks delightful on. The bracelet bears full London marks, dating it to 1951, this is in addition to the Jensen marks and the mark of their London shop. It is 7 inch long and 3/4 inch wide. The earrings are approx 3/4 inch diameter. Design no 49 and bear post 1945 marks. The ring is a similar size with similar marks. Size O and could be resized.
