Antique VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Mourning LOCKET Brooch Prince of Wales Hair Curl. A visually stunning, rare, 19th century solid silver mourning locket brooch. The silver is unmarked as was often the case during the period; however it has been professionally jeweller tested. As a long time collector of period mourning jewellery, I had never seen a brooch like this before. It has been exquisitely made by a skilled Victorian silversmith, showing all the’pomp and circumstance’ of an important mourning piece. One is sufficiently impressed with the hugely elaborate front decor; it is then even more captivating to see the mourning locket back. Laid on a ribbed cream silk interior is a beautifully set Prince of Wales hair curl, complete with seed pearls and gold wiring. All immaculate with original glass. The silver tube hinge, pin and’c’ catch are all original and in good working order. Measurements: 1.9″ by 1.5″. In good antique condition; please see all photographs (which can be supersized). Left uncleaned as preferred by many buyers. Box shown in photos is for display ONLY and is NOT included in the sale. Exceptionally rare model pocket watch Omega, key wind half hunter case, solid silver. The case is in very good condition for its age, made of silver 935. Tight and nicely closing lids, with precisely working opening system. The roman numerals on the front lid have application of blue silicate enamel. Original porcelain dial with black roman numerals. Original hands with blue oxidation. Key winding and time setting. The watch has omega logo on the lids. The movement is the original omega key wind movement but it has no logo on it – as a reference i have put a picture with log for comparison – see picture 10. Movement has been serviced and runs well. Here I have my antique Victorian full length guard or muff chain. It’s made of solid 800 grad silver and it fastens with a dog clip. Has the original slide which is in a lovely design typical of the Jugendstil period, and set with a garnet paste cabochon. Stamped 800 on the ring by the dog clip. Length is 56 not including the clip. Weighs 32.7 grams. In lovely antique condition as per the pics – no damage. A stunning hand crafted Victorian (I believe solid) silver horse head pendant, quite astonishing in its detail, both sides being distinct, to his mane falling on just the one side, even his coat has even been etched to give the appearance of reality, & he is proportionately perfect, a miniature work of art. I have simply never seen any better example of a horses head pendant or fob. He has four lovely hallmarks, Lion Passant, leopard head & B to back of his right ear (England, London 1877) , with FM (co-joined) to back of the other. 3.37mm (1.3) horizontally from the point of his nostril across to the point at the base of his neck where his mane ends, vertically. From the top of the ear 2.69mm (1) & is 1.21mm. 4 deep at the widest point. Please remember to take this into account before opening any Not Recieved Item case.
