Beautiful Arts & Craft Quality Solid Silver, & Irish Connemara Marble Brooch. Here is a really beautiful arts & craft solid silver & irish connemara marble brooch. The brooch is really lovely it measures one & a half inches by one & a threequarter inches & is all made of solid silver. This brooch is really beautiful & is in thick solid silver with a lovely ornate pierced frame with the most lovely ornate engravings all around the central gemstone. Nicely the centre is all inset with real irish connemara marble which is cabouchon & polished with its lovely colour & markings & securely claw set. On the back of the brooch it has a pin & rolling Cclasp working well & is clearly marked for sterling silver & looks to be a arts & craft bernard instone piece but i think this is a later shiptons example, but a real quality example & needs a polish & looks to date around the 1950s. This really is a delightful vintage brooch in very good origional complete condition and a really beautiful quality example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history. Huge Victorian Solid Silver Scottish Agate Cornucopia Horn of Plenty Brooch RARE. An utterly fabulous piece for collectors of Victorian Scottish jewellery. Scottish agate remains hugely collectable today. The piece has been hand made in the form of the cornucopia or horn of plenty; a symbol of abundance and nourishment in classical antiquity. Solid silver backed (no mark but has been tested); the agate sections have been perfectly hand cut and painstakingly applied in an array of gorgeous colours. The agates include carnelian, burn anne & montrose. Measurements: 3″ span by 1″ (at widest point). Original curved pin and’c’ catch to fasten; there is also a hinged loop for a safety chain or jump ring to be applied for wear as a pendant. In very good antique condition as shown in the images. This priceless, beyond rare, original, as good as undamaged & surprisingly heavy solid silver & paste Ciro brooch is an absolute beauty, a central 6 petalled flower is suspended to the center of a classic 6 pointed Russian star, a further 6 large pastes at the end of each prong. So popular & sort after was the brooch that CIRO created a cheaper version with pàstes, & this is the later release from I think 1959 & would have been a very highly valued & treasured piece in its day. Inspired by the fabulous jewels as worn in pre revolution Russia a classic glorious 6 pronged star & looks astonishing. Beautifully finished throughout with lovely workmanship, as much care going into finishing off the back as to the front. I have been collecting CIRO for years & have rarely seen a better example. There are around 40 high domed pastes, I have gone over these with a tooth comb & there are only a handful of stones which have any nibbles, a minute nibble to side of the central crimped stone, another to one of the larger stones in one of the points, with only near invisible scuffs to one or two further stones. Clearly hand finished throughout, with sublime workmanship, measures exactly 3.7 cm 1.4 in diameter, you can clearly read most of the stamp SCP to the back of the mount & ENGLAND. I have given this only a very light polish, as the back was black & I was desperate to find markings.. There is as good as no sign of wear other than a few of the Zircons having been scuffed, with no repair marks, this is fit for the serious Deco / Retro jewellery collector. The pin having a flip-over safety catch, not sure if the pin is silver (they rarely are being that silver is too soft). This does what it was intended to do, to replicate diamonds & looks simply astonishing under artificial light. (I recommend you measure against other brooches you own to give an idea as to the size). Vintage Art Nouveau c1910 Large Solid Silver Dragonfly Brooch Morpho Butterfly Wing A stunning sterling silver and butterfly wing dragonfly brooch in the style of a Thomas L Mott Most (there is no TLM mark but it certainly looks like his work), made between 1900 and 1910. The large wings are inlaid with butterfly wing topped with a lovely, cabochon rock crystal. Fab Victorian Large Solid Silver, Citrine & Multi Agate Brooch, 1880s. Here is a really lovely victorian solid silver, citrine & multi agate brooch. The brooch is large measuring two & a quarter inches in diameter and is all made of solid silver, although not marked, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch is typical of these victorian scottish brooches and has a lovely shape with early chasing in good quality detail anmd then is inset to the edges with multi agates of blue lace, carnelian, bloodstone etc which are all polished & flat cut with their lovely colour & natural markings. In the centre is a lovely raised citrine type gemstone which is probably faux, as they often were but looks lovely, faceted & claw set. On the back is a pin and Cclasp working well, although there is a solder mark to the edge of the brooch with the pin mount, but it looks to have been done quite crudely to the back on the mount , but i certainly do not think it detracts, but mentioned for total accuracy, see pics and it dates clearly to the victorian period around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height. This really is a lovely victorian large quality scottish brooch in very good origional complerte condition that looks so lovely worn and a unusual example of these. Stunning Edwardian Rare Large Solid Silver & Rock Crystal Brooch. Here is the most stunning rare edwardian solid silver & rock crystal brooch. The brooch is large measuring approx two inches by two & a quarter inches & is all set in solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed solid silver. The brooch has a fabulous design which looks like a flower with ten outer sections, all approx just over a quarter of an inch by half inch in their solid silver settings & inset with real rare rock crystal its quite fabulous all faceted and securely claw set on their individual silver collet mounts and open backed to appreciate the quality with a lovely quality sparkle & catching pools of light. In the centre is a large matching large rock crystal measuring approx one inch by nearly one & a quarter inches again in the same setting. The brooch has a pin & Cclasp working well & it also has a silver bail attatched which is for a safety chain, so i have left it on for easy access to put one on and this brooch dates to the victorian edwardian era and just has wear as you would associate with age but certainly nothing that detracts in any way from this piece. These pieces are getting harder to find today & this brooch is the best example i have ever seen in rock crystal with its size & fabulous condition. This really is the most beautiful antique rock crystal brooch in very good origional complete condition, that looks absolutely stunning worn and a really fine quality example of these, that is as wearable today as when it was fist made & very eyecatching & spectacular. Here I have an antique solid silver brooch, in the shape of a sword. It features intricate wirework around the hit, which continues around the back of the brooch, and its set with Persian Turquoise gemstones. It appears to be Austro-Hungarian in origin? It fastens with a c-clasp and, as with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 6.4cm by 2.9cm. It weighs 4.6 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Some minor wear to the gilding here and there. Overall, it just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
