The brooch is large measuring two inches by just over two & threequarter inches & is all made of solid silver. This brooch is absolutely exquisite & i have never seen another like it of this delightful subject. The brooch depicts a cherub/putti riding a dolphin in really beautiful engraved detail. On the back it has a pin & Cclasp working well & it is clearly marked for early silver mark & dates to around the victorian/edwardian era & just needs a polish but i have left it as it is. This really is a beautiful antique brooch in very good origional complete condition of a beautiful subject & a rare example of these.
