Here I have an antique Victorian solid silver 50 long guard / muff chain with bolt ring fastener. It features unusual fancy lozenge shaped links – it has a feintly stamped hallmark on one of the links but I’m certain it’s French in origin. Tests as solid silver. The chain is 6mm wide and it weighs 33.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No dinks or damage. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Very long antique Victorian hallmarked solid silver muff / guard chain. Each link is hallmarked with the lion passant. The clip is clearly hallmarked with the lion passant and the date letter U but the makers name. And the city assay stamp are however worn and I cannot read them. In very good condition. Size – If the chain was one on single chain it measures 56 inches. Attached to the clip it measures 28 inches doubled up. Weight – 63.9 grams.
