Large 1865 Waltham PS Bartlett Civil War Era Solid Silver Hunter Pocket Watch

Walthams Fine PS Bartlett Keywind Hunter Pocket Watch, Runs. In good running condition! Movement is marked PS Bartlett, Waltham Mass. This dates it to June 1865, a few months after Civil War ended. Its a Keywind, Keyset model 1857 watch with 11 jewels. The solid silver hunter (closed face) case is in decent condition with a fair amount of wear. Front cover pops open correctly. Has 4 ounce mark inside cover. Bezel is “banged up” a bit but functions properly. Circle diameter at 2 1/8. To set watch, must pop open front bezel from bottom and turn hand centerpost with key. Watch includes key as seen in pic. Watch is keeping reasonable time for its age. Heavy watch at 6 ounces. Great watch to carry or for collection! Hit esc key to turn off fine music. ANTIQUE 1911 ELGIN HUNTER POCKET WATCH COLORED SOLID. 925 FINE SILVER CASE 130 grams. Fresh Estate piece from a large private collection of antique pocket watches, chains, and fobs. This is a fabulous 1911 dated serial number Hunter Elgin pocket watch in a Star W. 925 Fine Silver case. Porcelain dial, bold arabic numerals. The watch case measures about 43 mm weighs a full 130 grams including movement. It is marked a 16s and has 7 jewels. The crystal is clear and thin, with only very fine typical surface wear. The case is extensively engraved, with rose and yellow gold buck and doe deer, floral leaves, and scrolls all over and a fancy Greek Key type trimmed edge. No monogram inside rose gold shield. Case shows light typical wear from age/use (see photos) and has one little cluster of’pinpoint’ dings on side edge near 11 oc’clock. Last photo was taken without the flash to show the true colors of the silver and gold (other photos taken with a flash to sharply display details for examination). 1903 HAMPDEN – DUEBER POCKET WATCH SOLID COIN SILVER 1/2 HUNTER CASE BEAUTIFUL. Fresh Estate piece from a large private collection of antique pocket watches, chains, and fobs. Beautiful and heavy piece, 252 grams! This is a 1903 dated serial number Half-Hunter Hampden Watch Co. Signed watch in a Dueber Coin (90% Fine Silver) case. Signed Porcelain dial, with blue hands. The large watch case measures 55 mm. Dial is large, 18s or 20s. Unknown jewels, and I did not see any mark for number of jewels on movement (see photo). Numbers are both Roman and Arabic, hours, minutes, and seconds marked. The case is beautifully engraved, with a large bull Elk and pine trees on back. No dents, one little ding at three o’clock, and just a few typical surface scratches/ wear (see photos). The crystal is very thick glass, one tiniest flea bite at 6 o’clock. Porcelain dial has an’x’ fine hairline through the Roman 4 hour mark. The watch does not seem to run but I have tried nothing other than winding. ANTIQUE 1886 AMERICAN WALTHAM POCKET WATCH SOLID COIN SILVER CASE RUNS & KEEPS TIME. Fresh Estate piece from a large private collection of antique pocket watches, chains, and fobs. Beautiful and heavy piece, 161 grams. This is a 1886 dated serial number Hunter Waltham signed watch in a Keystone Leader Coin Silver case. Waltham signed Porcelain dial, with blue hands. The watch case measures 49 mm. Dial is large, 18s. It is listed as 13 jewels, and I did not see any mark for number of jewels on movement (see photo). Numbers are all Arabic, hours, seconds marked. The case is beautifully engraved, with a water wheel cabin scene and stylized trees and flora. One dent on side (see photo) of case, a few tiny dings or surface scratches (see photos).
