Here I have a fine example of an antique Austro-Hungarian solid silver locket pendant. It’s double sided, what’s known as a day and night locket, as you could turn it round for a different look in the evening. The front is set with Persian turquoise cabochons in a diamond shaped design, with freshwater pearls in the centre and little flower shapes to the outside. The other side is set with flat-cut garnets and pearls, with further silver flowers between. The bale also features turquoise and pearls and it can turned so it sits at the front for both sides of the locket. Inside, the locket is gilded and there’s room for 2 pictures, behind the original glass slip covers and removable silver frames. It’s marked with Austro-Hungarian hallmark and maker’s stamp on the ring holding the bale. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.2cm long. With the bale at the top, it’s total length is 4.3cm. It weighs 19.7 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely. Here I have a stunning antique solid silver mirrored compact / locket pendant. The colour hasn’t come out well in the photos but the background is a pale mint green guilloche enamel, with handpainted pink roses in the centre. The lid hinges up and the inside has been gilded, with a mirror within the lid. It’s stamped as silver on the ring at the top – the silver standard number is tricky to make out, possibly 935? The main body of the locket (without the ring at the top) measures 3.8cm wide and 1.0cm deep. I t weighs 18.6 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. There are 2 chips to the top layer of clear enamel which are very tricky to capture in the photos but I’ve circled them in pink — they’re only noticeable if you run your finger over them, they’re near impossible to see unless you’re looking extremely closely! The chip on the lid is approx 8mm long and 1.5mm wide and on the base it’s 7mm long by 3.5mm wide. Both are superficial and don’t go down to the coloured enamel below. Aside from this, there’s no other scratching or damage. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have a vintage solid silver locket pendant. It’s beautifully decorated on the front with a guilloche enamel design, depicting pinky mauve roses on a cobalt blue background. Inside, there’s room for 2 photos which sit behind the silver lip that runs around the edge. As with many vintage pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. It hangs on a more recent 25 sterling silver chain. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.2cm high and 3.1cm wide. With the split ring at the top, it’s total length is 5.0cm. It weighs 17.8 grams with the chain. Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. The enamel has a few light surface scratches which are only visible on close inspection and there’s been a professional repair to a chip to one edge… It’s been very well done so is only visible to someone who knows what they’re looking for (illustrated in last pic). The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. The silver just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage item, including a few light pressure marks to the back. International buyers PLEASE READ. Antique VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Mourning LOCKET Brooch Prince of Wales Hair Curl. A visually stunning, rare, 19th century solid silver mourning locket brooch. The silver is unmarked as was often the case during the period; however it has been professionally jeweller tested. As a long time collector of period mourning jewellery, I had never seen a brooch like this before. It has been exquisitely made by a skilled Victorian silversmith, showing all the’pomp and circumstance’ of an important mourning piece. One is sufficiently impressed with the hugely elaborate front decor; it is then even more captivating to see the mourning locket back. Laid on a ribbed cream silk interior is a beautifully set Prince of Wales hair curl, complete with seed pearls and gold wiring. All immaculate with original glass. The silver tube hinge, pin and’c’ catch are all original and in good working order. Measurements: 1.9″ by 1.5″. In good antique condition; please see all photographs (which can be supersized). Here I have an antique solid silver double sided locket pendant featuring a stunning portrait miniature of a child in the front (signed with the artist’s initials on the back of the paper when you look inside) and a lock of hair in the back. The rim surrounding the glazed front compartment is overlaid in 9ct rose gold and the edge pf the locket is set with sparkly white paste stones, as is the bale at the top. The back panel hinges out so you can look inside, and both the front and back have their original glass intact. As with many antique pieces, it unmarked but tests as solid silver. NB – any white spots on the portrait are just light glare. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.9cm high and 2.2cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 5.2cm. It weighs 14.8 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing paste stones and they all appear to be original. Fine Antique SOLID SILVER Mint Guilloche Enamel Roses MIRRORED COMPACT Locket

Here I have a stunning antique solid silver mirrored compact / locket pendant. The colour hasn’t come out well in the photos but the background is a pale mint green guilloche enamel, with handpainted pink roses in the centre. The lid hinges up and the inside has been gilded, with a mirror within the lid. It’s stamped as silver on the ring at the top – the silver standard number is tricky to make out, possibly 935? The main body of the locket (without the ring at the top) measures 3.8cm wide and 1.0cm deep. I t weighs 18.6 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. There are 2 chips to the top layer of clear enamel which are very tricky to capture in the photos but I’ve circled them in pink — they’re only noticeable if you run your finger over them, they’re near impossible to see unless you’re looking extremely closely! The chip on the lid is approx 8mm long and 1.5mm wide and on the base it’s 7mm long by 3.5mm wide. Both are superficial and don’t go down to the coloured enamel below. Aside from this, there’s no other scratching or damage. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have a fine example of an antique Austro-Hungarian solid silver locket pendant. It’s double sided, what’s known as a day and night locket, as you could turn it round for a different look in the evening. The front is set with Persian turquoise cabochons in a diamond shaped design, with freshwater pearls in the centre and little flower shapes to the outside. The other side is set with flat-cut garnets and pearls, with further silver flowers between. The bale also features turquoise and pearls and it can turned so it sits at the front for both sides of the locket. Inside, the locket is gilded and there’s room for 2 pictures, behind the original glass slip covers and removable silver frames. It’s marked with Austro-Hungarian hallmark and maker’s stamp on the ring holding the bale. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 3.2cm long. With the bale at the top, it’s total length is 4.3cm. It weighs 19.7 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely.
