VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Yellow & Rose Gold Floral Photo Locket c1900 & 16.5Chain. A fine, antique Victorian locket in solid silver, c1900, on a later chain. The locket does not bear any hallmarks but has been jeweller tested and is guaranteed silver. Beautifully decorative, the floral display to the front has roses & forget me nots picked out in yellow and rose gold. The back is plain silver. Inside are two period photos of a lady & gent, both framed without glass gent side frame is loose and prone to falling out.. Probably would be solved by new glass or plastic cover. Hinged bail to top of raised shoulders. Suspended from a later silver coloured metal chain of 16.5 length, with a bolt ring fastener. The chain has an unusual and attractive link. Measurements: locket is 1 7/8″ by 1″ (incl bail). Total weight: 15.86gms. In good antique condition; some scratches & pin prick ding to back of case; commensurate with age & use. Here I have a vintage solid silver locket pendant. It’s beautifully decorated on the front with a guilloche enamel design, depicting pinky mauve roses on a cobalt blue background. Inside, there’s room for 2 photos which sit behind the silver lip that runs around the edge. As with many vintage pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. It hangs on a more recent 25 sterling silver chain. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.2cm high and 3.1cm wide. With the split ring at the top, it’s total length is 5.0cm. It weighs 17.8 grams with the chain. Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. The enamel has a few light surface scratches which are only visible on close inspection and there’s been a professional repair to a chip to one edge… It’s been very well done so is only visible to someone who knows what they’re looking for (illustrated in last pic). The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. The silver just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage item, including a few light pressure marks to the back. International buyers PLEASE READ. A beautiful large oval shaped locket with deep fine engraving of a leaf pattern to the front and a star and beaded ball surround. The locket comes complete with a large sterling silver chain from the same period with leaf engraving to each section. Hallmarks ; Birmingham anchor, date letter t, lion and makers marks to locket. Here I have an antique Victorian solid silver locket pendant. It features a pretty design of leaves and flowers on the front. There’s a large bale at the top and inside, there’s room for 2 photos behind little removable frames and covers. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.2cm high and 3.3cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 5.7cm. It weighs 20.1 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The hinge and closure work well – it snaps closed and stays shut firmly. Overall, it just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
