Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It features a very ornate hand-engraved ivy leaf pattern on the front. In Victorian symbolism, ivy represented a strong bond between 2 people, whether they were married partners or best friends. Inside , it contains a photograph in the right hand side, behind it’s original frame. In the left, behind the original glass and frame is a braided piece of hair. Of course, you could remove these. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 5.3cm high and 4.2cm wide. Weighs 30.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Has a couple of small dinks, one on the front which is hidden by the engraving and another on the back. The hinge and closure work well and it snaps shut nicely. Overall, it just has the usual light wear and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It features an unusual buttoned design – reminds me of a Scottish sporran. I nside, it contains one of the original little frames to hold the photo in place – the other side has lost it’s frame, but if you cut the pic to the right size, there’s a lip of silver which it will sit behind so it’ll stay put. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver (it’s lower grade than 925 sterling silver – it’s around 800-900 grade). The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.2cm high and 3.4cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 5.8cm. It weighs 14.7 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it snaps shut nicely. There are a few small pressure marks but most are on the back. Otherwise, it just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ. VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Yellow & Rose Gold Floral Photo Locket c1900 & 16.5Chain. A fine, antique Victorian locket in solid silver, c1900, on a later chain. The locket does not bear any hallmarks but has been jeweller tested and is guaranteed silver. Beautifully decorative, the floral display to the front has roses & forget me nots picked out in yellow and rose gold. The back is plain silver. Inside are two period photos of a lady & gent, both framed without glass gent side frame is loose and prone to falling out.. Probably would be solved by new glass or plastic cover. Hinged bail to top of raised shoulders. Suspended from a later silver coloured metal chain of 16.5 length, with a bolt ring fastener. The chain has an unusual and attractive link. Measurements: locket is 1 7/8″ by 1″ (incl bail). Total weight: 15.86gms. In good antique condition; some scratches & pin prick ding to back of case; commensurate with age & use. Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It’s beautifully engraved on the front with a floral design, surrounded by a 9k rose gold border, with silver beading running around the edge. It has a good sized bale and inside, there’s room for 2 photos – one side has it’s original removable frame, the other does not but if you cut the pic to the right size, there’s a little lip of silver it will sit behind and it will stay put. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale) measures 4.5cm high and 3.9cm wide (including the silver beads on the edge). With the bale, it’s total length is 6.5cm. It weighs 24.3 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Has a couple of very light pressure marks but they’re only noticeable on very close inspection. The hinge and closure work perfectly; it snaps shut and stays closed.
