A stunning piece of Arts & Crafts Jewellery; this Sterlign Silver Brooch was made by Charles Horner. In the form of a curled Fish/Dolphin around a Mother of pearl’Bubble’. This Brooch is likely to have been designed by the Arts & Crafts Jeweller Edgar Simpson, who worked for Charles Horner and is well known for designs which include Fish. The Brooch measures 3cm long. The Brooch is in very good condition with no damage or repairs. You can see the CH maker’s mark on the back, and there is a Hallmark but it has been obscured by the pin fitting. The date would be c. 1910; see the book’Charles Horner of Halifax’ by Tom J. 57 for an example and details of this piece. UK buyers can also pay by Cheque or Postal order. American Tremont Boston Solid Silver Keywind Pocket Watch, 1860′s. In good running condition! Movement is marked Tremont Watch co. This dates it to about 1866. Its a Keywind, Keyset watch with 11 to 15 jewels. The Solid Keystone Leader Coin Silver Case case is in decent/good condition with some wear. A few small dings/scratches on back cover. 4oz Silver marking inside dust cover. Circle diameter at 2 1/8. To set watch, must pop open front bezel at 1pm and turn hand centerpost with key. Watch includes key as seen in pic. Watch has been serviced recently, and is keeping good time. Great watch to carry or for collection! Beautiful Victorian Rare Solid Silver & Scottish Agate Specimen Brooch, 1880s. Here is a really lovely victorian solid silver & scottish agate specimen brooch. The brooch measures nearly two & a quarter inches in diameter and is all set in victorian solid silver, not marked but tested & guarranteed. The brooch is a fabulous scottish specimen brooch and in a rusched roundel type style with a unusual entwined cut to the agates inset with all different kinds of scottish agate, pebble, granite etc in sections, flat cut with there lovely colours & natural markings, bandings with some unusual agates i have not seen before or the markings. Nicely this brooch has a silver engraved centre and on the back its solid silver backed & it will need its pin & Cclasp replacing to wear it again as a brooch as it has a bail & looks to have been worn as a pendant. This brooch dates to the victorian period around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height of popularity and some fabulous pieces were made & yet again i have never seen one exactly the same as this one before, so a interesting example and as with age it does have minute nibbles & a couple of cracked lines, which you would expect with age & wear, but nothing that i can see that detracts, but just mentioned for total accuracy, see pics. This really is a lovely victorian brooch in good origional complete condition as stated and such a lovely rare collectable example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history. Lovely Victorian Rare Scottish Solid Silver & Banded Agate Specimen Brooch. Here is the most lovely victorian rare quality solid silver & scottish agate specimen brooch. The brooch measures nearly one & a half inches in diameter & is all set in solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch is highly unusual & quite rare & is a scottish specimen brooch & i have never seen on exactly the same before. This brooch has a lovely quality design, with a border of onyx & is then all inset with scottish agate of all different kinds, carnelian bloodstone & some of it nicely banded, it really is a lovely brooch. On the back is a pin & Cclasp working well & it dates clearly to the victorian era, around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height & this is a unusual example. This really is a lovely victorian scottish brooch in very good origional complete condition that looks lovely worn & rare collectable example.
