Victorian Rare Quality Solid Silver & Scottish Banded Agate Buckle Bracelet1880s. Here is the most beautiful victorian quality solid silver & scottish banded agate buckle bracelet. The bracelet measures approx eight & a half inches all the way round & two sections measures approx one inch in diameter & the other two measuring threequarters of an inch by one inch and its all set in solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed victorian solid silver. The bracelet consists of four sections with two which are rectangular shaped with three shaped bands across and are all inset with real scottish banded agate of carnelian, blue lace etc. The agate is encased in solid silver to either end which has lovely early chasings to it. The other two sections are beautifully shaped quatrefoil being held by silver wires across & then the centre having a silver ball finial The agate is just superb, all origional scottish banded agate with lovely colouring & specimen type sections of agate with a fabulous variety and really good strong banding and nicely polished. This bracelet comes complete with a fabulous silver belt buckle fastening, which is adjustable & nicely it is so well made that it is articulated & all over it is the most fabulous early chasings in fabulous detail. This bracelet is totally origional to the victorian period of around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height and this really is a fabulous origional example of this which is getting harder to find these days and i have never found such a fine quality buckle example as this in such good condition for its age & has obviously been very well looked after & treasured. However this really is a beautiful victorian bracelet in very good origional complete condition, that looks so lovely worn and most certainly will not disapoint and a fabulous rare antique example of these.
