Lovely Victorian Rare Scottish Solid Silver & Banded Agate Specimen Brooch. Here is the most lovely victorian rare quality solid silver & scottish agate specimen brooch. The brooch measures nearly one & a half inches in diameter & is all set in solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch is highly unusual & quite rare & is a scottish specimen brooch & i have never seen on exactly the same before. This brooch has a lovely quality design, with a border of onyx & is then all inset with scottish agate of all different kinds, carnelian bloodstone & some of it nicely banded, it really is a lovely brooch. On the back is a pin & Cclasp working well & it dates clearly to the victorian era, around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height & this is a unusual example. This really is a lovely victorian scottish brooch in very good origional complete condition that looks lovely worn & rare collectable example.
