This is an absolutely stunning and very beautiful 4 piece full hunter case. It is made from SOLID good quality 0.935 silver. It is marked as such on the inside of all of the covers. I guarantee that it is solid 0.935 silver. This beautiful watch case is stunningly and fabulously decorated with a head and shoulders portrait in fantastic repousse work of King Edward VII of England. Around the portrait is the wording’Beloved of his people King Edward VII’ in raised lettering. The portrait is beautifully detailed in every way and is of very high quality. Turn the watch case over and there is a stunning repouse work head and shoulders portrait in full Naval costume of the next King of England after Edward who was George V. The silver work and fine detailing on this portrait is absolutely incredible! . Around this portrait are the words’Our sailor King H. King George V’ If this is not enough, when I open the case to reveal the dustcover is is ALSO beautifully decorated with repousse work with a beautifully detailed portrait of Queen Bodecia and the wording around her’The British Empire mourns Edward the Peacemaker’. All of the covers on this watch are in EXCELLENT condition showing only light wear. This absolutely stunning pocket watch measures 5.2cms (52mm) in diameter. All of the repousse work on the covers has the Artists signature at the bottom. It is hard to make out but may be’ADr Hauber’. THE SOLID SILVER CHAIN RING IS ALSO FANTASTIC AND IS BEAUTIFULLY FASHIONED INTO THE SHAPE OF A ROYAL CROWN!! THIS UNIQUE WATCH WEIGHS NEARLY 110 GRAMS. This beautiful watch has a RARE and stunning embossed silvered dial (probably solid silver but not tested) original dial. The dial is beautifully embossed with the British Monarchy Royal Coat of Arms! And is signed’Chronometer Prima’ on the bottom of the dial. I can see no damage and just a few light marks. The dial has its original silver bezel and a replacement new plexi crystal. The dial has beautiful black painted Roman numerals with a black outer minute track. The number 10 has lost a little paint. The blued steel hands are beautifully designed and are in excellent condition. The blued steel sub second hand is in excellent order as well. This is a wonderful 3/4 plate lever movement has a lovely gilt finish. The movement is numbered 105xxx. This beautiful movement is FULLY SIGNED’Chronometer Prima’ in a lovely typesetting and’15 rubis’. I do not however think that this is a Chronometer grade movement, but this is just my opinion. It is crown wind and lever set (on the inside of the case at the side of the dial) which work as they should. The movement is in excellent working order and has just had FULL SERVICE and new mainspring by my watchmaker. It is keeping decent time to within 3-5 mins a day as tested over a 24 hour period.
