This is the kind of pick you dream about. My real estate lady reaches out to me and says. ” I think I have a house you’re going to want to shop”. It was HEAVEN from the time I walked in the front door. In the attic- I spied just the outer front part of this case- with the gilded hardware and it got me to wondering. I made a mental note and continued to pick. I poked around in the attic for a little less than two hours- creating an extensive pile of merchandise to haul to the main floor. The last item I pulled- this box. The Grandmother said to me My Mother and her sister used these during High Tea… That would have been in the mid 20′s. Im 97 now and my Mother told me they were old when she was given them as a wedding gift. This old gal is SHARP! Lets talk about the set of twelve. All are marked with an early Lenox marking AND each handled holder is hallmarked with STERLING stamped onto each.
