Simply Beautiful Large Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Ruskin Brooch. The brooch is all. Set in solid silver with a understated rope edging. The brooch is then inset with the most fabulous plaque of Ruskin pottery with colours of turquoise & peacock blue. On the back is a pin & C clasp working well, the pin has a slight curve to it. It dates to the arts & craft era, the Ruskin mark may be covered by the silver backing, so it not visible, but this is not unusual as so many pieces were not marked, but this piece is definitely a quality piece. The brooch has crazing and pitting in area’s, but. You would expect this with a piece of this age. And you’ll find it’s getting harder to find larger undamaged pieces like this. This really is a fabulous arts & craft Ruskin brooch. And such a beautiful example. 5 cm’s / just shy of 2 inches diameter. All pottery in tact. Crazing & mild pitting. Very slight bend in the pin.
