Solid Silver Bar / Ingot SUNKEN TREASURE 1739 Museum Quality XXRARE ARTIFACT. Silver Ingot from The Rooswijk 98.5 fine silver with clear stamps of the Amsterdam Chamber of VOC Dutch East India Co. And assayer mark (a goat). Can meet in Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire , Gloustershire or Cornwall. Basically ANYWHERE “SAFE” IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND. Not too long ago antiques were worth more in original cleaned and restored condition, but now in 2021 the antique industry has changed in that people pay more for things in unrestored condition. My bars have coral style brown bits from been at the bottom of the sea for hundreds of years. Most bars were INSIDE these chests so came out black and once cleaned were shiny silver clean, however as the chests were not water tight some bars had the same brown crust that can be seen on my bars. Most of these bars were cleaned when they were salvaged. All of the bars are worth about 2 or 3 times scrap price but ones like this in Original condition from been at the bottom of the sea for hundreds of years are Extremely rare artifacts. The Rooswijk was sunk in 1739 off Southeast England, just North of the Straits of Dover. There, the sea hides a most unusual feature known as the Goodwin Sands, where sandbanks appear and disapper unpredictably with the tides. Many ships over the centuries have sunk here and silted over, and occasionally one of the wrecks will surface and be discovered. Such is the case with the Rooswijk, a Dutch East Indian Co. Vessel that foundered on the Goodwin Sands in a storm on December 19, 1739, with all hands and its chests of treasure, virtually gone without a trace. CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY. I CAN MEET YOU ANYWHERE IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND. WE WILL MEET SOMEWHERE VERY SAFE LIKE OUTSIDE A POLICE STATION IF YOU LIKE. ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER RARE OMEGA VERY COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! AN EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL FULLY WORKING ENGLISH MANS CIRCA 1908 SOLID SILVER EXTREMELY RARE AND UNUSUAL SQUARE OMEGA POCKET WATCH. The particular thing that strikes me with this watch is that the hands are shaped at the ends into the OMEGA symbol. The caseback is repousse engraved with a Bobsleigh team on the Bobsleigh and the word’Holy’? With a second word unfortunately rubbed away. This watch is such an unknown but my’spidey’ senses are tingling as to its historical importance as far as watches go and it may end up in the Omega museum. If anyone can give me more information please do, I would be grateful. For now, I have priced it at what I think it is worth but it could be worth much more with its history known. SERVICED AND IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. The stunning SQUARE case to this genuine OMEGA pocketwatch is in very good condition. It is unsigned and does not seem to be stamped as to what quality of silver it is but it is DEFINITELY SOLID SILVER. There are two main engravings to this wonderful watch case. The first is a fantastic REPOUSSE engraving to the case back which shows a Winter scene in the background and in the foreground there is a 5 man Bobsleigh team on a Bobsleigh speeding down a hill. The word’Bobsleigh’ in engraved into the case and a smaller word which looks like’Holy’ as well. The dustcover is marked celebrating the Grand Prix of 1900 and shows the medals won by Omega at this event. The watch case is in good condition showing only light wear to the case back repousse work (see photos) and a little marking where the watch back has been opened and light scratches/nibbles etc through use. But in all this is a beautiful watch case. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining nicely, as only real silver can. THE WATCH MEASURES 4.8CMS (48mm) across/height. This lovely Omega pocket watch has a its stunningly beautiful original white dial. It is fully signed’OMEGA’ at the top of the dial. It is in EXCELLENT original condition showing two small hairlines at 5 0′clock and one very smal one at 11 o’clock that I can see. There were a few edge chips but these have been touched in by my watchmaker (slightly visible at 1 and 2 o’clock) It has lovely black painted Arabic numerals contained within a a black painted’Railway’ outer minute track. The dial also has a subsidiary dial which is in good condition (small touch up to the centre). The crystal is glass and seems to be original. As such it shows some light marks across its entirety. The beautiful blued steel watch hands and are in EXCELLENT condition with light oxidisation. THESE ARE STUNNING ORIGINAL HANDS AS THE ENDS ARE SHAPED INTO THE OMEGA SYMBOL! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER OMEGA POCKET WATCH WITH THIS TYPE OF HANDS BEFORE. This is a beautiful SWISS made genuine frosted gilt JEWELLED LEVER movement. It is FULLY SIGNED by OMEGA in a beautiful typesetting. The watch has been FULLY SERVICED by my watch maker. It is numbered (ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE DIAL) 3665684. This dates this exceptional OMEGA watch to between 1906 and 1910. The watch keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. This pocket watch has been serviced by my watchmaker at considerable cost. It runs well and winds and sets smoothly. The GOLD crown silver and chain ring look original and are in excellent condition. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well. Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming. Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation. Please do not waste anyones time if you are not interested.
