Fine Antique Solid Silver Emerald Paste Open Back Fancy Panel Choker Necklace

Really stunning antique Edwardian solid silver emerald paste open back fancy panel choker/necklace. Lovely ornate cut out/filigree details on the panels and chunky faceted glass stones. In very good condition for age, usual signs of an antique item, small damage on the back of 2 stones, nibbles, scratches. It has a stamp mark on the soldered loop but I don’t recognise it so it has also been tested as silver. Please see all pictures but feel free to ask questions Drop measures 20.5cm and total length measures approx 41.5cm. Stunning Solid Silver Charles Horner Butterfly Blue Enamel Necklace c1911

A stunning Solid silver and enamel pendant depicting a beautiful butterfly with exquisitely detailed veining on the wings, visible under the Blue Purple Enamel. The piece is fully signed to the back with the distinctive CH punch. Probably dated to 1911, it is typical of the arts and crafts art nouveau designs commissioned by Liberty & Co Store from the best of the worlds designers. Its typical of Liberty & Co pieces of that era. There were several designers using this medium of design during this era, amongst those the most notable were, Merle und Mayer, Patriz Huber, Archibald Knox, Jessie M King, Theador Fahmer, Charles Horner, James Fenton & Murrie Bennet. Liberty pieces were produced by Heselers of Birmingham, these were the only silversmiths working for Liberty & Co and they produced the Cymric Silver ware range and tudric pewter range. It measures just over 1 across the wing tips and is suspended from an 18 hallmarked Silver chain. Oval faceted pale blue glass stones to represent pale sapphires and bright faceted cut clear paste glass stones make up this wonderful and wearable necklace. Circa mid/ later 1800s. DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT Necklace measures circumference – closed approx 15 inches, the central fixed pendant drops approx 2 inches. Weighs approx 33 grams. 15 oval clear Blue stones collet set and open backed for light dispersal. Clear paste stones are closed back & finely claw set. Fully articulated necklace with good working original and decorative matching box clasp. Lovely central fixed statement pendant. It’s a perfectly strong, good heavy GUAGE, solid silver necklace without any repairs or damage. A truly stunning necklace originally designed to turn heads. Many thanks for looking. Antique Victorian SOLID SILVER Belcher Collar BOOK CHAIN Necklace with Dog Clip

Here I have an antique Victorian solid silver book chain / collar. It features sturdy belcher links and it fastens with a dog clip – the clip is not original but works well with the necklace. The ring next to the dog clip has the lion passant hallmark for sterling silver and the clip itself has a maker’s mark stamp, the chain itself does not have a hallmark but is guaranteed solid silver. I have many wonderful Victorian period lockets in my shop which would look fabulous with this book chain! The chain wears at 18.75 inches long including the clasp. The chain is 8mm wide across the front. It weighs 27.8 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. I think the chain may at one point have been gilded, there are some slight traces left in the grooves of each link, but most of it has worn away. There’s a tiny bit of wear to the final link of the chain, where attaches to the ring of the dog clip, but this is quite minor (2nd to last photo). Overall, it just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item. International buyers PLEASE READ.
