The National Railway Museum’Great British Locomotive’ Inaugural Edition. Issued by the Keeper of the National Railway Museum designed by John Pinch. Set of 50 solid sterling silver proof ingots of the inaugural edition of Great British Locomotives accompanied by a certificate as proof they are a strictly limited edition created by John Pinches to commemorate the inauguration of the National Railway Museum on the 27th September 1975 (see photos). Each ingot is one ounce of solid sterling silver & is individually hallmarked (see photo), the total weight is approximately 1550g (weight is ingots only & doesn’t include weight of box/certificate etc). The ingots are presented in a dark stained oak box with a red felt lining (see photos). The ingots, box and certificate are in excellent condition, (see supplied photos), however there are 2 small marks on one ingot and one has a tiny amount of tarnish to the border of the ingot. The small marks do not affect the images and are only noticeable upon close up inspection. This set comes supplied with a plastic carry case for an individual ingot (see photos) and the original certificate of authenticity.
