From 2016 to 2021, The Royal Mint released the Queen’s Beast Collection, a series inspired by the heraldic animals tied to British royal history. This collection featured 10 unique beasts drawn from the traditions of English monarchs, especially those from the reign of King Henry VIII. This bar is amazing! It has all 10 beasts on the obverse with great detailing. Comes in a clear protective vinyl from the mint. Showcases all 10 heraldic beasts in one design. Limited mintage of only 6,000 bars. Contains 10 Troy oz of. Obverse includes a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by all 10 beasts. Reverse displays The Royal Mint’s emblem. These heraldic beasts were originally designed by sculptor James Woodford for Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. Each statue stood six feet tall and held a shield with a family crest, combining medieval symbolism with a more modern artistic style. As the Queen arrived at Westminster Abbey for her coronation, these statues lined her path as symbolic guardians. The beasts that are on the bar are the Lion of England, Griffin of Edward III, Falcon of the Plantagenets, Black Bull of Clarence, Yale of Beaufort, White Lion of Mortimer, White Greyhound of Richmond, Red Dragon of Wales, Unicorn of Scotland, and White Horse of Hanover. This bar is definitely a great addition to all collectors. The highlight is the bar is square and highlights all 10 heraldic beasts in the collection. The first 3 photos are stock photos from the mint. The last 4 photos are of the bar that you will receive. Please contact me if you have any questions or need any additional information.
