FINEST Large Antique VICTORIAN Solid SILVER Scottish AGATE Inlaid Pendant Locket. An exceptional, large, Victorian silver locket, inlaid with stunning Scottish agate. From a private collection in Aberdeen. Not hallmarked, as common during the period, but professionally tested and guaranteed sterling silver. The whole locket case has been beautifully chased by a highly skilled silversmith; the front is inlaid with Scottish agate; carnelian segments top and bottom, bloodstone left and right and montrose agate to centre. The highly ornate silver back has a vacant cartouche to base where initials can be engraved if desired. Inside the locket is all original; ribbed navy material inners, glass and silver frames. Locket has a good firm closure. Bail to top for wear on a chain. Measurements: 2″ by 1.1″ (including bail).
