Absolutely stunning Victorian locket and book chain. The locket is superbly engraved and embossed. Fine detail and craftsmanship. Both locket and chain are solid silver. The chain is marked’Sterling’ on the clasp. Visually spectacular and beautiful to wear. The size of the locket not including the bale is circa 4.4cm x 3.4cm. The brooch measures one inch by just over one & a quarter inches & is all set in solid silver. This brooch is truly superb & totally epitomises the stylish art nouveau fine quality jewellery by english silversmiths. Very finely made with an unusual turned twist border design to a central panel that has a beautiful foil glass panel that looks like enamel in the typical colours of the era in blue to green, which gives a stunning finish. On the back is a pin & Cclasp working well & it has a full set of english hallmarks for Chester, silver & 1909 & HCF for the fine quality silversmith of Henry Charles Freeman. This really is a rare example & i have never seen another by this maker of this quality. This really is a beautiful art nouveau brooch in very good origional complete condition that is as wearable as when it was first made & a rare quality chester fine quality collectable example. Beautiful shaped engraved and bead work necklace with a lovely oval silver locket with fancy script initials on the front and the date 1880 inscribed on the back, the locket opens to fit photographs or keepsakes. The locket is attached to the necklace by a large bolt ring fastener so the chain can be worn with or without the locket. The chain measures 15.54mm in width and is 19 (482.60mm) in length, the locket measures 53mm inc. Combined weight 49.30 grams. This is an excellent antique Victorian solid silver wide cuff bangle. It is stamped “Sterling Silver” and “Silver”. It is beautifully engraved and has onlaid rose gold roses and yellow gold leaves. It is approx 3.2 cm (1 1/4 inches) and the opening measures approx 5 cm x 6.4 cm (2 inches x 2 1/2 inches). The circumference of the inside is approx 18.8 cm. It has been only lightly cleaned to preserve its great vintage look. The bangle is in excellent antique condition with only minimal signs of wear entirely commensurate with age.
