Fab Victorian Large Solid Silver, Citrine & Multi Agate Brooch, 1880s. Here is a really lovely victorian solid silver, citrine & multi agate brooch. The brooch is large measuring two & a quarter inches in diameter and is all made of solid silver, although not marked, tested & guarranteed victorian silver. This brooch is typical of these victorian scottish brooches and has a lovely shape with early chasing in good quality detail anmd then is inset to the edges with multi agates of blue lace, carnelian, bloodstone etc which are all polished & flat cut with their lovely colour & natural markings. In the centre is a lovely raised citrine type gemstone which is probably faux, as they often were but looks lovely, faceted & claw set. On the back is a pin and Cclasp working well, although there is a solder mark to the edge of the brooch with the pin mount, but it looks to have been done quite crudely to the back on the mount , but i certainly do not think it detracts, but mentioned for total accuracy, see pics and it dates clearly to the victorian period around the 1880s when scottish jewellery was at its height. This really is a lovely victorian large quality scottish brooch in very good origional complerte condition that looks so lovely worn and a unusual example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history. Stunning Solid Silver and 9 carat Gold decorated Victorian Hinged Bangle in fantastic condition. Full English hallmarks for Birmingham 1884. It features a raised 9ct gold flower and leaf design to front and the rear is plain polished sterling silver. The condition is fantastic for a vintage bangle thats over 130 years old. No dents, dings, bumps, bruises etc. It has just been professionally polished by a jeweller and looks stunning, the surface is virtually scratch free! Width 23 mm Inside circmference measures 6.75 inches around Weight 29.3 grams (1 full ounce). It clips firmly with a push to open strong clip and also has a safety chain.
