This very heavy vintage choker is beautifully articulated and wears beautifully. It is very tactile and feels very sensual to wear. Bought from an antiques shop in Nantwich some years ago. 125.1 grammes in weight. See pictures which form part of description. It is very fluid and sits well. Marked for 925 and also marked on clasp. The clasp has 3 tiny marks on it but I cant read makers name. A lovely piece which feels lovely to wear. Push Clasp works well. Wearable length of 17 inches long. So often these vintage collars are not long enough. I have not cleaned this piece as some buyers prefer original condition but it would be even more shiny with a clean. Really stunning antique Edwardian solid silver emerald paste open back fancy panel choker/necklace. Lovely ornate cut out/filigree details on the panels and chunky faceted glass stones. In very good condition for age, usual signs of an antique item, small damage on the back of 2 stones, nibbles, scratches. It has a stamp mark on the soldered loop but I don’t recognise it so it has also been tested as silver. C1890 ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER COLLARETTE CHOKER BOOK CHAIN NECKLACE. A fine antique 19th century Victorian sterling silver. Formed of box or book chain links with a beaded chain link border. The necklace opens easily from a hidden catch within one of the panels, and closes firmly with a satisfying snap. A pendant loop is available at the back of the chain, front and centre, on which to hang a silver locket if desired. There are no silver marks present, which is not unusual for an item of this age and type, but it tests as Sterling silver. Necklace Length: 43.5. Cm or 17 inches. Width of necklace: 1.9. Cm or 3/4 inch. Total Weight: 53.4 grams, 1.716 ozt. In very good antique condition, with some light age related wear, clean and ready to wear.
