Fine Antique Victorian Solid Silver & Gold Gilded – Scottish Agate Scarf Brooch. PLEASE VIEW ALL 12 PHOTOS I HAVE PROVIDED. A fine late Victorian period Scottish agate scarf brooch. This is a very rare piece of jewellery which is superb quality. Not hallmarked but has been tested as 925 solid silver. The brooch is made of solid silver with stunning gold gilding. The gold gilding is in great condition with no wear or fading. Has beautiful fine engraved floral detail. The centre is set with a large round cut citrine glass stone which measures – 1.8 cm wide. Around the central stone are two pieces of Scottish blood stone & two pieces of Scottish agate. In-between the agate stones are four round cut pieces of carnelion stone. All the stones are in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. Has a scarf clip fitting on the back of the brooch which is in good working condition. Measures – 3.9 cm wide x 3.9 cm height x 2 cm deep —– Weighs – 14.5 grams. Very Nice Antique Solid Sterling Silver. Late Victorian era circa 1880s. Oval locket & Book chain. A fine late Victorian era antique sterling silver locket & book link chain / collar. Sterilized polished & refinished in our workshops & is therefore in pristine antique condition The oval locket is hand engraved on both the front & rear panels decorated with flowers & foliage, highlighted with with cardoon decorated edges, very typical of the Victorian era & the locket style. The locket front has a vacant cartouche – ribon style. Suspended from the book chain with a large hinged oval bail, to which the original book chain is attached by the way of a large bolt ring. Rarely found today, (two links up) is another similar large bolt ring, fitted to easily adjust the collar length. The hinged locket opens & snap shuts freely. No damage & just re-gilded in 9ct gold by our working jeweller pristine antique condition (looks brand new). Only one side of the locket has a glass. Hard to believe this is the best part of 150 years old….. The locket & chain are not hallmarked but tested solid sterling silver Locket approximate diamentions. Locket 50.8mm long Drop 67.7mm 41.8mm width Inside picture frame size 47x35mm Weight 27.3g Book chain approximate diamentions.
