Beautiful Victorian Quality Solid Silver Bacchante Lava Cameo Brooch. Here is a lovely victorian quality solid silver & Lava bacchante cameo brooch. The brooch measures one inches by one & a quarter inches and is all set in a solid silver frame, which although not marked is tested & guarranteed solid silver. The cameo is made of lava and is really beautiful and exquisitely carved of the head & shoulders of a bacchante, in beautiful raised detail and highly quality carved. The cameo needs a pin & Cclasp put on or a bail for wearing as a pendant, as it looks as if this piece may have come from a bracelet and dates to the victorian period and as with age this cameo is finely carved & just needs a good polish, see pics. This really is a beautiful victorian rare lava cameo in good origional complete condition as stated and such an attractive example of these. Here I have a fantastic antique solid silver and niello enamel brooch, in the form of a lizard. He’s exceptional quality – really beautifully modelled and he feels gorgeously smooth and tactile! The Niello detail runs down his back, over his head and for his eyes. He fastens on the back with a c-clasp and steel pin. Unmarked but tests as silver. Measures 5.2cm across at the widest point. It weighs 26.1 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage item. International buyers PLEASE READ. He’s beautifully made – if you look closely you can see his little forked tongue! It fastens with a c-clasp and is unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 4.7cm x 2.0cm. It weighs 11.2 grams. Here I have a beautiful Victorian solid silver brooch, in the shape of a lizard. His body is set with white paste closed-back stones. He’s beautifully made – if you look closely the sides of his body and legs have been give a rough lizaardy texture and he even has little pastes set in his eyes. One of his little feet form a loop to hold the end of a safety chain, though you could probably put a bale ring through there too if you want to wear him as a pendant. It fastens with a c-clasp and is unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 4.5cm x 2.4cm. It weighs 13.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing stones – most have dulled/yellowed with age but he still has a decent sparkle. Overall, he just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item. Beautiful Arts & Craft Quality Solid Silver, & Irish Connemara Marble Brooch. Here is a really beautiful arts & craft solid silver & irish connemara marble brooch. The brooch is really lovely it measures one & a half inches by one & a threequarter inches & is all made of solid silver. This brooch is really beautiful & is in thick solid silver with a lovely ornate pierced frame with the most lovely ornate engravings all around the central gemstone. Nicely the centre is all inset with real irish connemara marble which is cabouchon & polished with its lovely colour & markings & securely claw set. On the back of the brooch it has a pin & rolling Cclasp working well & is clearly marked for sterling silver & looks to be a arts & craft bernard instone piece but i think this is a later shiptons example, but a real quality example & needs a polish & looks to date around the 1950s. This really is a delightful vintage brooch in very good origional complete condition and a really beautiful quality example of these.
