Here I have a beautiful Victorian solid silver brooch, in the shape of a lizard. His body is set with white paste closed-back stones. He’s beautifully made – if you look closely the sides of his body and legs have been give a rough lizaardy texture and he even has little pastes set in his eyes. One of his little feet form a loop to hold the end of a safety chain, though you could probably put a bale ring through there too if you want to wear him as a pendant. It fastens with a c-clasp and is unmarked but tests as solid silver. Measures 4.5cm x 2.4cm. It weighs 13.5 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing stones – most have dulled/yellowed with age but he still has a decent sparkle. Overall, he just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item. Beautiful Arts & Craft Quality Solid Silver, & Irish Connemara Marble Brooch. Here is a really beautiful arts & craft solid silver & irish connemara marble brooch. The brooch is really lovely it measures one & a half inches by one & a threequarter inches & is all made of solid silver. This brooch is really beautiful & is in thick solid silver with a lovely ornate pierced frame with the most lovely ornate engravings all around the central gemstone. Nicely the centre is all inset with real irish connemara marble which is cabouchon & polished with its lovely colour & markings & securely claw set. On the back of the brooch it has a pin & rolling Cclasp working well & is clearly marked for sterling silver & looks to be a arts & craft bernard instone piece but i think this is a later shiptons example, but a real quality example & needs a polish & looks to date around the 1950s. This really is a delightful vintage brooch in very good origional complete condition and a really beautiful quality example of these. Edwardian Quality Solid Silver, Enamel & Seed Pearl Locket. Here is a lovely edwardian solid silver & seed pearl, enamel locket. The locket measures approx an inch in diameter and is all made of solid silver, although not marked where i can see tested & guarranteed as such. The locket is oval & solid and has black enamelling to the front with the centre having a typical early silver star shape which is nicely inset with real seed pearls, which gives a lovely effect. This locket has a photo compartment to the back which has a photo of an elderly gemtleman which is covered in glass, it then opens to the side of this to either put another 2 photos inside or is deep enough to put in keepsakes etc & there is some photos already in there of children & when you close this it closes nice & tight & secure. It has a good size bail for attatching a chain & and dates to the edwardian- art deco era & just has marks as you would expect with wear. This really is a lovely art deco locket in good origional complete condition and such a lovely quality early example of these. Beautiful Art Deco Quality Solid Silver & Moonstone Droplet Earrings. Here is a really lovely pair of art deco solid silver & moonstone droplet earrings. The earrings measure a one & a half inch drop & are all set in solid silver, which is clearly marked for silver & 925. These earrings are really lovely with a lovely typical early drop style & inset with a lovely moonstone. The moonstone is set in its own secure collet setting, polished & cabouchon with its beautiful natural colours of grey/white/silver & joined by a silver link. The earrings were on early screw backs which i have changed to solid silver leverbacks & date clearly to around the edwardian/art deco era. These really are beautiful antique moonstone earrings in good origional complete condition that look lovely worn & a really beautiful example of these. Antique rare Russian silver bracelet. This bracelet is weighty it weighs just under 25 grams. It has a hinge and a clasp and has a saftey chain. The bracelet has blue enamel something about orthodox springs to mind but i just cant remember and never kept a log of this one. It is marked 84 with a romans head and an s on top an a. Its defintely russian silver thats all i know. It measures 6.2 cm by 5.1cm or 5.6 cm at outside edge of silver. The bracelt opens by pushing in a pin on a hinged fastening. Opens to a gap of approx 8.5 cm The bracelet has a couple pin pricks to the silver as photoed. There is one small place by the hinge with a nick to the enamel or past repair. Stunning Art Deco Quality Solid Silver & Marcasite Drop Earrings. Here is the most stunning pair of art deco quality solid silver & marcasite drop earrings. The earring measure a one & threequarter inch drop, including the post by nearly threequarters of an inch and are all made of thick high grade silver. These earrings are just stunning and totally epitomise the art deco era, with ther fabulous quality design, which has double interlocking ariculted pierced circles as a double drop and all set in silver and fully encrusted with sparkling marcasites & unusually the back is plain but has a engraved detail also. The earrings are for pierced ears and nicely there is a quality detailed matching marcasite posts and are totally origional to around art deco era or just after and are marked for silver on the back and as with age the posts are slightly bent, but this doesnt detract when worn in any way just mentioned for accuracy & they really need a good polish but i have left them as they are. These earrings are really lovely & quite unusual as i had brought these origionally for myself, but it just seems a waste as i seem to usually always go back to wearing my same ones, & it seems a shame for these to not be worn. These really are the most beautiful pair of antique quality earrings in very good origional complete condition that look absolutely stunning worn and most certainly will not disapoint. Simply Beautiful Large Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Ruskin Brooch. The brooch is all. Set in solid silver with a understated rope edging. The brooch is then inset with the most fabulous plaque of Ruskin pottery with colours of turquoise & peacock blue. On the back is a pin & C clasp working well, the pin has a slight curve to it. It dates to the arts & craft era, the Ruskin mark may be covered by the silver backing, so it not visible, but this is not unusual as so many pieces were not marked, but this piece is definitely a quality piece. The brooch has crazing and pitting in area’s, but. You would expect this with a piece of this age. And you’ll find it’s getting harder to find larger undamaged pieces like this. This really is a fabulous arts & craft Ruskin brooch. And such a beautiful example. 5 cm’s / just shy of 2 inches diameter. All pottery in tact. Crazing & mild pitting. Very slight bend in the pin.
