This fantastic original solid sterling silver double hinged watch case is in good aesthetic condition for the age of this watch. THE CASEBACK HINGE IS BROKEN but the case back snaps on ok so it is no great problem. The case sides are in nice condition and the case back is good showing light wear and tear and a few normal useage age related marks. The case is fully hall marked for English Sterling 925 Silver and dates to 1924 (Glasgow Assay mark). It is FULLY stamped BY ROLEX. The case measures 4.9cms (49mm) across excluding the crown. The ROLEX signed solid silver dustcover is in good condition showing light wear. Wow this is one stunning white dial. It is in sensational ORIGINAL condition and looks beautiful. It is signed with the Retailers name which is slightly worn in parts (See pics). It has a lovely gloss finish and I can see NO hairlines or damage apart from a few tiny spots under magnification. The black painted ORIGINAL Roman numerals are fantastic and have a lovely finish, as does the black painted outer minute track. The hands are superb and are blued steel. They are in excellent condition. The dial also has a sub second dial which is in excellent condition. The bottom of the dial is signed’SWISS MADE’ The crystal is a brand new plexi and as such is in minty condition! This stunning watch is fitted with its entirely original FULLY SIGNED ROLEX Swiss made high quality 15 jewels powerhouse. ROLEX always outsourced its pocket watch movments and this is no different. I have identified it as possibly a Cortebert 618 (or variation of) It is a top quality movement and is very high grade and is of excellent quality. This beautiful movement has been FULLY SERVICED It is running sweetly, and is keeping good time. It winds and sets beautifully. The crown looks to be original and is in very good condition. The SOLID SILVER chain ring is in good condition with no undue wear. THIS IS A TRULY RARE ROLEX TIMEPIECE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND IN GREAT CONDITION! There is NO exception.
