Stunning Blue Silver Guilloche Enamel Mirrored Compact by Birmingham Silversmith Joseph Gloster. Hallmarked JG Ltd, Anchor, Lion Passant,’v’ date letter 1920 or 1945…. The’v’ being similar for either of these dates. In excellent condition, more than likely never used, no trace of face powder, net cover and powder puff unused. Fabulous guilloche enamel sun ray pattern with a very pretty patterned outer circle on the front. In super condition with minimal surface scratches, not immediately noticeable at all. There is no loss to any of the enamel whatsoever. With an equally pretty engine turned sun ray design on the reverse. There is a vacant circle cartouche at the centre which could be personalised with initials if desired. Medium size compact measuring 6.8 cm (2.75) diam. The mirror is in very good condition, there is a faint line running across the mirror but it is not a scratch or a crack. Closes and opens absolutely fine and no problem with the hinge. Has been kept safely & protected inside the black pouch in the photo’s. A lovely item from a bygone era and can be used today…..
