Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It features a double sided design – the front has a beautifully simple engraving of 3 fern leaves or is it fronds? And the back has a more complex foliate engraving, so you can change sides depending on your mood. There’s a nice large bale at the top which would accommodate a good sized chain or collar. Inside, there’s room for 2 photos behind the original little removable frames. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but tests as solid silver. The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.0cm high and 3.3cm wide. With the bale, it’s total length is 5.6cm. It weighs 11.6 grams. Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No dinks or damage. The hinge and closure work well – it snaps closed and stays shut.
