This is a stunning Sterling Silver Enamelled Edwardian era Pendant in the Art Nouveau style. The pendant is in beautifull shades of blue and green enamel with fluid design of leaves set within an apple shape. Its pretty shape reflects the design of the Art Nouveau movement which was inspired by nature, with insects and flowers during the late 19th century to the early part of the 20th. The pendant hangs from a solid silver chain which has a period barell clasp which also helps to date it in my opinion. The enamel is perfect with no obvious signs of cracks or chips. The rear of the pendant is marked Sterling which would indicate that it could possibly be American in origin. Please see the photographs and do your own research to confirm as this is my opinion only. The length of the entire pendant plus chain is approx 21 inches or 53cm The pendant including jump ring is approx 43mm x 18mm Weighs 5.6 grams approx There has been a repair to the loop on the top disk of the pendant but this is to the rear and not noticable front on, please look at the pictures carefully as they form part of the listing. It should be remembered that this item is not brand new and will show signs of previous use as we would expect from an antique / vintage item. This is a beautiful pendant which would make a lovely gift to mark a special occasion such as a Wedding, Anniversary or Birthday, or an addition to any Jewllery collection. It would look stunning for any event.
