This is a very pretty and interesting painted miniature brooch or pendant in a solid silver. The mount is marked. 800 for silver and this was typically used in Continental Europe in the 19th century. The beautiful painting is in neoclassical style and of a woman. It is signed but it’s difficult to make out as it’s partly obscured my the mount, I think it’s either Eiizzoni or Fiizzoni so it would appear to be Italian but I haven’t been able to find the name. The rear of the pendanr has not only a pin but also a loop to allow it to be used as a pendant making it a very versatile item of jewllery. It measures 28mm by 36mm, approx. It weighs 7.6 grams, approx. This fine brooch/pendant of a beautiful woman in a silver oval mount would make a great addition to any collection or could be used everyday. It would also make a wonderful unique gift. VERY RARE BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD AND SOLID SILVER POCKET WATCH HOLDER. I present to your consideration this very beautiful and very rare pocket watch holder. The pocket watch holder has a very beautiful classic shape with two columns, a. Pediment and a base. The pediment and the columns base are ornate with very beautiful low relief solid silver embossed work. This embossed work made on the solid silver consists in compositions of vegetable and geometric elements. On the center of the pediment ornament in heart shape there is a cartouche inscribed with the initials «J M»: the lettering is very beautiful. The solid silver ornaments are very detailed, well made and have a classic design. The hook is also solid silver. All the watch holder is entirely made in massive solid Brazilian rosewood (pau-santo) one of the best woods in the world. The Brazilian rosewood is a very heavy and hard wood. Now a day is a protected specimen very hard to fund. The rosewood makes a great contrast with the silver parts and gives a great look. I think that this pocket watch holder was made in the late 19th century. It is in very good condition. It is in perfect condition for today´s use. It stands up firmly. This very beautiful and very rare pocket watch holder is a great addition to your pocket watch collection. Please see the photos that are part of the description. A rare find and in such lovely condition for this exceptional 19th century French past and solid silver necklace. Excellent quality expertly made! This necklace is so pretty and feminine- Lovely Old Cut open backed FIREY glass paste Stones that sparkle like pale sapphires & diamonds – all collet set into fine galleried settings. The clasp is a pretty feature too and the stones are decorated around the total length of the neck so a beautiful necklace from all angles & not just the front. It has a main statement centre drop too! The sparkling paste stones glisten and shimmer like real gems which is the reason why they were so favoured by the aristocracy of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This is all original set in solid silver which has been tested to confirm. (Unmarked as is usual for this period of jewellery). The drop of the paste pendant is 2 1/2 inches the spread is 1 1/4 inches. The total necklace measures around 16 inches around the neck with clasp closed.
