A rare find and in such lovely condition for this exceptional 19th century French past and solid silver necklace. Excellent quality expertly made! This necklace is so pretty and feminine- Lovely Old Cut open backed FIREY glass paste Stones that sparkle like pale sapphires & diamonds – all collet set into fine galleried settings. The clasp is a pretty feature too and the stones are decorated around the total length of the neck so a beautiful necklace from all angles & not just the front. It has a main statement centre drop too! The sparkling paste stones glisten and shimmer like real gems which is the reason why they were so favoured by the aristocracy of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This is all original set in solid silver which has been tested to confirm. (Unmarked as is usual for this period of jewellery). The drop of the paste pendant is 2 1/2 inches the spread is 1 1/4 inches. The total necklace measures around 16 inches around the neck with clasp closed. RARE SOLID SILVER 3RD CENTURY (GORDION 111 AD 238- 244) ROMAN COIN. Emperor Gordion 111was a child emperor. He was a teenager of 13 when he came to the throne. He reigned for only 5 and a half years and died on a campaign against the expanding Sassanian empire and its leader Shapur 1. Whether his successor, Philip the Arab had a hand in his killing as claimed by Roman sources either directly or by causing discontent or whether he died of illness, as claimed by Philip, is not kn0wn. The coin is in good original condition with clear impressions. It has not been cleaned. Buyers are encouraged to ask questions to make sure that the specifications of the item match their requirements. This is truly a rare egg it has been checked by the Russian department at Sotheby’s London, and they guarantee it to be a original Imperial Russian silver egg, the piece is fully hallmarked they gave me the name but lost it this was 2 years ago now. Please find for sale an extremely Fine solid silver 19th century embossed Dutch/caskett tea caddy. This item has full Dutch marks and import marks for London. The tea cady is marked 1881 and SBL makers mark. It has a couple of minor dings otherwise fine. Beautifully embossed all over with scenes of landscapes to the top and figures all the way around the side. A beautiful piece of 19th century silver on dolphin feet 11.2 cm long by 7.3 high and 7 cms wide. It weighs 202 grams and is offered in lovely condition. All our Diamonds we sell are natural earth mined Diamonds. All our jewellery is vintage/ antiq ue and may require a clean. Items do not come boxed, unless otherwise stated in the description.
