Vintage 1974 set of 20 Parables of Jesus solid sterling silver medals. These were designed by artist Pietro Montana and manufactured by The Franklin Mint in 1974. Each medal is 2.25 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch thick, and weighs 4.15 troy ounces. There are 20 medals in total. It’s not very common for sets like this to come with original paperwork so we are very pleased to include this with this collection. Other included item is the display case that is also a storage case and the plastic gloves that were sent with the set. The overall condition of this set is excellent. Some medals may have some minor cosmetic damage, but there is no major damage. Most of the cosmetic issues seem to be on the rims of the metals. With a thickness of 1/4 inch it’s understandable to see much of the wear to be on the rims. These marks and wear is very minimal. The condition of the obverse and reverse of the majority of the medals is almost perfect. This set was properly taken care of for many decades. Scratches, dents, and discoloration, etc. Are all considered as unoriginal condition. We take high resolution photos of each medal so we will be able to identify any and all changes in appearance.
