The medal features a colour overlay of the animated characters Wallace & Gromit showing a thumbs up on the obverse and colour text on the reverse. There is a proof mirror background with frosted pattern of garlands and flowers. It is a beautifully made piece, that is protected in an airtight capsule. The medal carries three hallmarks for the Commonwealth Mint, 999 fineness and the anchor mark of the Birmingham assay office. The medal weighs 1 troy ounce (31.1 g) and is made from 999 solid silver. Inside is a printed card that takes you behind the scenes to reveal the journey of an animation – from initial concept to the big screen. The medal capsule is mounted onto the card.
